Redesign based on the existing Gigaset SL440 cordless telephone from Siemens. The concept and design is defined for the female market. I was involved in the entire design process, from brainstorming up to renderings. The project was cancelled by Siemens.

Rediseño del modelo Gigaset Sl440 para Siemens. Los conceptos usados y el diseño del aparato y sus texturas, se encuentran dirigidos hacia un mercado femenimo. Estuve involucrado en todas las fases de diseño del producto, desde las primeras ideas y bocetos hasta renderings para presentación. El proyecto fue cancelado por Siemens.

Exelia gives hearing impaired individuals access to all the activities through control and connectivity.
MyPilot controls the setting in the hearing aid, such as volume and programs.
iComo provides connectivity with electronic devices such as MP3 players, TVs, and GPS.

I was in charge to create concept sketching, high quality illustrations, CAD concept modeling, virtual renderings, quick animations, internal design and component layout work, and 3D data for prototyping and production.

Exelia facilita a las personas con capacidades auditivas reducidas, acceso a todas las actividades por medio de control y conectividad
MyPilot controla la configuración del audífono, como el volumen y los programas.
iComo ofrece conectividad con dispositivos electrónicos como reproductores de MP3, televisores y GPS.
Mi trabao consistió en crear los primeros conceptos, ilustraciones de alta calidad, modelado CAD, representaciones virtuales, animaciones rápidas, diseño interior, y datos en 3D para crear prototipos y producción.

ZH2O :: First prize at "The official Souvenir of Zurich" 2005

The aim of the contest was to create and design the new souvenir of Zurich. Since there are more that 1200 fountains which flow with delicious drinking water, the idea was simple and clever: a hight-quality stainless steel bottle that can be filled with pure Zurich water, plus graphics that represent the main view of the city.
IDconnect designed the concept, the bottle and the graphics, and got the first prize. It went onto production quickly, with partners such as Manor and Sigg, the worldwide stainless steel bottle producer.

El objetivo del concurso wea diseñar y crear el nuevo souvenir de Zurich. Debido a más de 1200 fuentes con deliciosa agua potable distribuidas en la ciudad, la idea del proyecto fue simple e inteligente: una botella de alta calidad, construida en acero, la cual puede ser llenada con la exquisita agua de la ciudad de Zurich, incoporando una gráfica que representa la imagen principal de la ciudad.
El proyecto obtuvo el primer premio y rapidamente fue puesto en producción, a través de socios como Manor y Sigg, la empresada más reconocida mundialmente en la fabricación de botellas de acero.

Hoval AG, a worldwide leader heating system producer, has just released the new Home Vent, a touch-screen device that can control all the air condition in the house. IDconnect has designed the whole device including the interface windows. I worked for this prohect since the begining bringing new solutions, sketching out ideas, making illustrations, alternatives, CAD modeling, and the whole design process.

Hoval AG, líder mundialmente en la producción de systemas de calefacción, ha sacado al mercado su nuevo producto Home Vent, un nuevo panel de control con el cual se pueden modificar las condiciones del aire en los hogares. IDconnect ha diseñado todo el producto incluyendo las diferentes interfaces touch-screen.Yo trabajé desde el comienzo del producto, y en todas las fases del mismo, desde las primeras ideas hasta el desarrollo final.

LOMME :: Relaxation Platform

LOMME (Light Over Matter Mind Evolution) is a unique sleep experience and rejuvenation environment. It is a piece of furniture, a work of art and a place to rejuvenate.
IDconnect was in charge of designing the final design of this bed, working on design and technical solutions and feasibility. I worked full time for this project since the begining. I was in charge of creating ideas, design solutions, illustrations, sketches, virtual modeling and renderings. It was a quite nice and complex project to make.

LOMME (Luz sobre Materia, Evolución Mental) es una experiencia única en descanso y rejuvenecimiento. Se trata de un mueble, una obra de arte y un lugar para rejuvenecer.
Trabjé tiempo completo para este proyecto desde el principio. Estuve a cargo de crear ideas, soluciones de diseño, ilustraciones, dibujos, modelado virtual y representaciones. Fue un proyecto muy bonito y complejo de hacer.

Wooden bathtub family, made for Alegna AG - Switzerland.
The line includes several configuration, simpler and more sophisticated ones, for small or standar bathrrom up to big rooms, for hotels, spas and wellness centers. The design clearly reflects yacht inspiration. I participated in the whole design process, from brainstorming up to sketches, illustrations, CAD modeling and prototyping. Design was done working by IDconnect design solutions.

Familia de bañaeras hechas en madera, creadas para Alegna AG - Suiza.
La línea está compuesta por distintas configuraciones, desde un diseño simple para baños pequeños y estandares, hasta un diseño más sofisticado, ideal para grandes espacios, ya sea en hoteles, casas, spas y centros de relajación.
El diseño toma inspiración claramente de los barcos hechos en madera.
Participé activamente en todo el proceso de diseño, desde las primeras ideas, pasando por dibujos, ilustraciones, modelado tridimensional y prototipación.

Laguna is a family of high-quality hand-made wooden products which include bathtubs, showers, mirrors and lavabos. IDconnect and I, as a full time designer, worked closely with TomBoat, a swiss wooden yahct manufacturer to create these unique pieces.

Smart Gloves

This is a preview of a project I have been working on. The idea behind is a pair of gloves, solar cells and LED bulbs, for outdoor activities, or any situation which requires light. The concept was born one day I wanted to replace a bulb of my car, in a supermarket, at 21:00. It took me awhile because of the darkness. Este es un avance de un proyecto en el cual he estado trabajando. La idea detrás es un par de guantes, celdas solares y luces LED, pensado para actividades al aire libre o cualquier situación que requiera luz en condiciones de poca visibilidad.
El concepto nació un día el cual estaba tratando de cambiar un lámpara de mi auto, en un supermercado, y me tomó bastante tiempo al no tener practicamente luz.

The visit shows Italian dream cars from the 50's up to today. Giugiaro, Bertone, Pininfarina, Alfa Romeo, IDEA, Fioravanti's masterpiece can be seen in the fantastic event.

En la exposiciôn pueden verse prototipos italianos desde los años 50 hasta la fecha, de las casas màs importante: Giugiaro, Bertone, Pininfarina, Alfa Romeo, IDEA, Fioravanti, entre otras.

HSR e-mobile :: Genéve Motor Show 2008

E-mobile is an electric car developed by HSR University from Raperswill (Switzerland). The production cost must be as low as posible, using standar components. I was part of the exterior design team (ID-connect design solutions), working from sketches up to CAD models. In the photos it can be seen the first prototype shown at the Stand 5143.

E-mobile es un vehículo elétrico desarrollado por la Universidad HSR, en Raperwill, Suiza. Los costo de producciòn debían ser muy reducidos, utilizando componentes estandares. Fui parte del equipo de diseño externo (ID-connect design solutions), y uno de los responsables directos, trabajando desde los bocetos hasta el modelado CAD. En las fotos puede verse expuesto en el stand 5143. Por segundo año consecutivo digo presente al Salón del auto más importante a nivel mundial.

Here I am at the BEON stand at Geneva. It was something amazing, I have no words to describe that moment. I love the last picture because it shows my attitude in front of the project: always fighting, never give up. Aquí estoy en el stand del prototipo BEON en el salón de Ginebra 2007. Fue un momento asombroso, increible, no tengo palabras para describir esa sensación. La última foto la considero un resumen de mi actitud en frente al proyecto: siempre peleando y nunca rindiendome.

beON :: Geneve Motor Show 2007

This is a short selection of sketches which have defined the 1:4 clay model, selected for full development. After that, I lead the project up to the presentation, togheter with 2 great designers, Alessio and Dario. We worked out the details, proportions, suspentions, ... I followed the development of the prototype at Cecomp for at least 3 months. It was a really hard job as you can see. You have to think that this is a maquette and not a working model.
Thanks a lot to Luca Borgogno, Luca Dazzan, Carsten Atheimer, Carlo Palazzani, Alessio Minchella and Dario Olivero who put all their best to achieve this master piece. Podemos ver una corta selección del desarrollo que determinó el modelo a escala 1:4, posteriormente seleccionado ganador para desarrollar en escala real. Posteriormente dirigí el grupo de diseño, junto con excelentes diseñadores como Dario y Alessio, trabajando los detalles, proporciones, las supensiones, ... Seguí el desarrollo del prototipo durante 3 meses en CECOMP, una empresa especializada en el desarrollo de modelos funcionantes. Realmente fue un trabajo muy duro, mas si se piensa que es una maqueta, y el centro de las ruedas está decentrado con respecto a las mismas.

This is my University degree project carried out with the University of Cordoba and sponsored by Idconnect design solutions. It is a laboratory of new ideas and solutions such as electronic paper inside the car to change color, to project pictures, textures, etc. The exterior was worked out as minimalist and simple as possible, but keeping it funny and friendly. I used the Isetta as a reference. Este es mi proyecto de Tesis llevado a cabo en conjunto con la Uiversidad de Córdoba (FAUDI) y la empresa IDconnect design solutions, en la cual trabajo actualmente. Es un laboratorio de nuevas ideas y soluciones como el papel electrónico dentro del vehículo que permite cambiar el color, proyectar imágenes, texturas, etc. El exterior fue diseñado con un aspecto simple y minimalista, pero manteniendo un aspecto amigable y divertido. Usé como referencia el viejo Isetta.

This was a school project. As you see I used a bird as an inspiration for the overall body and some aircraft features for the details. Proyecto que consitía en realizar una forma que exprese velocidad. Usé las aves como principal inspiración y para ciertos detalles, algo de aviones de combates.

Cyclop joins state-of-the-art design and functionality. It allows using reading-glasses for a safer a more comfortable scuba diving, and provides ear protection for high pressure diving. The project was pretty intensive. I finished it in one month. I used mainly markers and a bit of pastel, and of course a lot of ball-pen sketches. Cyclop conjuga diseño de vanguardia con funcionalidad. Permite el utilizar en el buceo lentes de lectura convencional. Provee al mismo tiempo protección para los oídos de las altas persiones submarinas.
El proyecto me llevó un mes, fue muy intenso, utilizando en su mayoría marcadores, algo de pastel, y por supuesto la clásica BIC amarilla negra.

The idea was a super car with a SUV body. The inspiration was clearly the old Alfas TZs with a V8 engine and 450 HP. The main competitors are the Cayenne GTS and the incoming BMW X-6. La idea detrás fue crear un pura sangre con una carrocería de SUV. La inspiración fue tomada de los clásicos TZs, incorporando un potente V8 de 450 Hp. Por último sus rivales directos son el Cayenne GTS y el nuevo BMW X-6

Cool illustrations

Aston Martin Vanquish: it took me 3 days. I used a wide range of markers, from the 1 to number 9. Then I added some pastel plus some gouache for the highlights. Me tomó hacer la ilustración 3 días. Usé una gama marcadores grises, cálidos y frios, desde el 1 al 9, para hacer la degradación del color. Por último usé algo de pastel y tempera para los detalles.

Lancia Thesis . It is a Canson illustration, cold gray markers for the shadows and a pastel-pencil for the white surfaces. Gouache and white pencil where used for the highlights and the gaps. Illustración sobre una hoja de color Canson, usando marcadores grises frios para las sombras y pastel para las zonas claras. Los detalles los agregué con lapiz y tempera blanca. Es una técnica barata y rápida.

Honda Silver Wing: it gave me headaches but it was a really nice project. It took me a month!!. I worked it out very slowly. I just used gouache. It is spectacular!!!. Como dice en inglés me tomó un mes hacerlo lentamente, usando solo tempera.
